Hello Curlfriend!

I'm Ms. Ehrin, I was born and raised here in the PNW, specifically Spanaway/Tacoma. I work as a full service independent contractor at The CurlSpa and as an educator. I teach the nails and skin portion of the cosmetology program at Clover Park Technical College.

Here at Kinky University I teach kinky curly hair design and booth renter business management.

Understanding basic hair structure, shrinkage and my own lifestyle has been key to me being a successful curl specialist. After being my own test subject with products, routines, hair color etc I've come up with a system for myself & my clients that is customizable and works consistently. That is what I teach here at KU with kinky curly hair design.

Hair color is so fun yet so misunderstood. In the curly community, I feel it really gets blamed for things that are not it's fault. I enjoy doing & teaching hair color, showing learners that naturally dark kinky-curly hair can be colored with tint or bleach and maintain it's length & curl pattern.

Trying to be an independent contractor/booth renter can be scary, expensive and confusing I know, but I also know it can be done. I built booth renter business management along the way of my own little journey. I took accounting classes, got my insurance license, got into debt and got out of debt.

My mission is to keep it simple and help smooth the kinks out of these processes with you. I enjoy teaching on these topics and seeing the light come on when a learner "gets it". Curly hair is fun and a great niche for building a solid business. Curly hair is everywhere and so is money, I'm here to help you slay both.

I feel like most people know more than they give themselves credit for, but the world has taught us to seriously doubt ourselves. I like to remind my learners to go back to their basics and begin from there because regardless of the hair type you need a consultation and regardless of your income level you need a budget.

By being excellent at the basics I have been able to achieve more than I ever dreamed of and you can too. I look forward to working with you Curlfriend!
