Hello CurlFriend!

October is for Observing

Welcome to The CurlSpa, I'm so happy you found it! On this page you will find everything you need to know for what's happening at The CurlSpa this month.

Q4: Observe Before You Change

Q4 isn’t just the end of the year. It’s an opportunity to look at where you are and decide how you want to enter 2027.

We tend to wait until January to start thinking about goals. Then January 1 arrives and suddenly we’re supposed to drink more water, exercise, save money, take better care of our hair, start a skincare routine, organize our lives—and somehow become a completely different person overnight.

I don’t think we need to do that.

Instead, I want us to use the last three months of 2026 to pay attention.

First Assignment: Get a Calendar

Yes, a physical calendar.

Yes, this was the assignment last month. Did you get one?

Put it somewhere you will actually see it. Your bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, office—wherever makes sense for your life.

For the month of October, I want you to start observing your habits without immediately trying to overhaul them.

  • When did you wash your hair?
  • Did you wash your face this morning?
  • Did you wash it before bed?
  • Did you moisturize?
  • Did you use your SPF?
  • Did you schedule your next appointment before you desperately needed one?

Write it down. Check it off. Use stickers. Make it fun.

You have to INTENTIONALLY make adulting fun.

The goal isn't perfection. The goal is information. Yes, start harvesting your own data.

What Are You Actually Doing?

Before we decide what needs to change in 2027, we need to understand what's happening now.

Maybe your goal isn't:

“I need healthier hair.”

Maybe it's:

“I'm going to stay consistent with my wash days.”

Instead of:

“I need better skin.”

Try:

“I'm going to wash my face morning and night for 30 days.”

Instead of:

“I need better products.”

Try:

“I'm going to consistently use the products I already own before I buy something else.”

Those aren't glamorous goals.

They're measurable. And more importantly, they're realistic.

Self-Care Is Bigger Than Your Appointment

I can give you a great haircut.

I can hydrate your curls.

I can give you a facial, work on your hyperpigmentation and help you build a skincare routine.

I can take care of your natural nails and feet.

But what happens during an appointment is only one part of self-care.

What you consistently do at home matters more than what you occasionally do at the salon.

That's why I want us to start thinking about self-care as a lifestyle instead of a collection of services.

Your appointments should support your routine—not replace it.

I Want Somewhere a Little Quieter

I've been off social media for nearly a year.

Lately, I've been feeling the desire to connect again—but I don't want to go back to posting content for likes or in hopes of finding new clients.

I want to share information with people who value it enough to come in and have an appointment.

That's you! And the rest of my established curlfriends!

Facebook and Instagram have become a little too loud for me. I don't want to compete with an algorithm, trends, advertisements and thousands of other posts just to talk to the people I actually want to talk to.

I want something smaller.

Quieter.

A more intentional place to share and continue our awesome conversations about women's health and internet myths.

So, I've created The CurlSpa Self-Care Club on BAND.

This is where I'll be sharing the things I actually want us to talk about: healthy hair habits, skincare, natural nail care, planning, consistency, education and the little changes that make taking care of yourself easier.

It's not about consuming more content.

It's about having a place where we can learn, talk, ask questions and ADULT together.

Join The CurlSpa Self-Care Club

2. Use Join Code: TFF-R4D-14

Let's connect somewhere a little quieter.

You can read more about what to and what NOT to expect here.

October's Challenge: Observe

Once you're in the group, we're starting with something simple.

Get a Calendar. Track 1 habit for 30 days.

How many? ONE. It doesn't matter which one. You don't even have to post about it. It's fine for you to quietly participate in the background. I won't kick you out for not being active

NEXT: Don't try to fix ANYthing this month.

Just gather the data. If you miss, examine why you missed. Where was the breakdown in your system?

October Specials

Weekends are often the first appointments to fill.

If your schedule gives you some flexibility during the week, my monthly specials are available on weekdays and are designed to make it easier (and less expensive) to combine services into one visit.

We're Getting Ready for a Strong Start to 2027

October is for observation.

November, we'll look at what we've learned and identify the small changes that could make the biggest difference.

December, we'll turn those changes into a simple plan.

So when January arrives, we won't be starting from scratch.

We'll already be moving.

Monthly Specials Menu

The CurlSpa is full service, meaning you are able to have hair, skin and nail services done in one appointment.

The Specials Menu is made up of a few services and packages from the main menu discounted 20-25% and it rotates monthly. Please take a scroll through the entire menu and use the links to read the descriptions. Reach out via text or email if you need clarity on the information provided.

All scheduling is done online

If there is a service you are looking for and you do not see it on my menu, I do not provide that service.

All availability is visible and the waitlist is only for the days I work (Wenesday-Sunday). If the system is not letting you make an appointment please try refreshing your browser and adjusting your cookie settings.

Please watch this before you leave your house to come to your appointment in case you run into traffic. This is important as the salon is not visible from the street, you cannot call me and I stand by my late/no show policy.

Try something new at a discount, but be sure to read how The CurlSpa /Groupon partnership works!

Weekday Appointments

Weekend Appointments

Hey Curlfriend, there are two menus. Below you will find the menu for Saturday and Sunday appointments. A few things to keep in mind:

  1. If you are using a Grouopon please see the Weekday Appointments Menu.
  2. Fridays & Saturdays are the busiest and when the dogs are most likely to be in the salon.
  3. Sundays are the quietest
  4. Waitlist requests should only be made for Wednesday - Sunday.
  5. You DO have to provide CC info to reserve an appointment
  6. Your card will NOT be charged until your appointment is completed

Please read the descriptions by hitting the "more info" button before texting your questions.

If you are unable to see all of the services, touch the screen on the menu and scroll.

Thanks so much and I'm looking forward to working with you!
